  1. Do we have to start paying our loans back while in residency or can they be deferred since we are still trainees? How does that work?
  2. Thanks for the replies all. I think I found a place.
  3. Thanks for the reply. I thought the same thing but then I went here https://saaq.gouv.qc.ca/en/drivers-licences/foreign-drivers-licence/ and clicked "Foreign student or trainee (including individuals from another Canadian province or territory) and it said: "If you are a student or trainee from another Canadian province or abroad, you are allowed to drive for the duration of your studies or traineeship with your foreign driver's licence, provided the licence: is valid authorizes you to drive the type of vehicle that you are using You are not required to obtain a Québec licence as long as you do not take up residence in Québec." And as a resident physician paying dues to the University and assigned a student number am I not a "trainee?"
  4. I'm an Ontario resident moving for 2 years to Quebec for residency. My understanding is that since I will be a "trainee" at a University I can keep my status as a resident of Ontario and won't need to convert my Driver's license, car license plate, etc., etc. To Quebec. Is this correct?
  5. I'm looking to rent a house for the next few years in Montreal. If anyone here has any connections for doing this or knows anyone I should talk to about this please send me a message
  6. Thank you! But there is no need to get approved by the Bureau de coopération interuniversitaire (BCI) correct?
  7. I understand that Canadians graduating from US Osteopathic schools are in the same stream as CMGs at McGill for residency application purposes. Does this mean that they don't need to submit MCCEE and NAC OSCE resuls to McGill?
  8. Where did you see that we also have to submit a CV? And where do we do that?
  9. In the "Clinical Electives" section of the CARMs application are just supposed to list those rotations that are purely elective or should we also include rotations that were required/core? I ask this because there is no other place, that I can see, to enter core rotations and don't understand why they would want elective information only? Or am I just not seeing a separate area?
