  1. Hi Cristina, I was in the same boat as you for the past couple of years and I really understand how you feel. I've done numerous interviews and received flat out rejections from all of them. Seeing friends the same age as me get in and some even graduating and doing residency right now really made me feel depressed at times, but every time I was on the verge of switching careers, something in me told me to keep going and keep trying, and I feel that you are in a very similar boat as me. You are already in a better position than I was given you recognize that you need to work on your MMI (something that I didn't realized until much later, as I kept thinking it was my grades that was the issue). I was very fortunate to have been accepted this year and have received a lot of pointers in terms of MMI prep from this community. If you'd like to chat more, please DM me.
  2. After interviews, they only consider MMI and pre-req GPA
  3. TIME STAMP: I checked at around 4pm Result: Admitted with condition pre-reqGPA: ~3.65 MCAT: 510+ Feeling About MMI (please be mindful of NDA): Had one good station and walked out of everything else thinking I didn't too well. IP/OOP/International: IP Comment: It felt so unreal seeing "admitted with condition" on Minerva that I had to log in 2 more times to make sure that it wasn't a glitch. I've applied to many medical schools for the past 3-4 cycles and throughout these years of rejections, I have considered switching my career goal many times since my aspiration of being a MD seemed so out of reach, but every time I was about to make that decision, there was something in me that told me to keep going and keep pushing through. I've reviewed countless of posts like these here, and I can't believe that I finally have the chance to post some good news!
  4. Looking for a coach to prepare for Mcgill MMIs. Please PM me with your rate.
  5. Does anyone know anything about admissions to the MDCM program for applicants pursuing a masters degree? Do I need to complete the masters degree PRIOR to entering the MDCM program if admitted? Are graduate courses grades taken into account in the GPA calculation? Can't seem to find any info on graduate applicants. Thanks!
  6. Thanks for the responses. I guess it's too late for me to apply now to start in September... will keep these in mind though.
  7. Can anyone clarify this: "course-work for the degree must have been started within the 5 years prior to completion of the degree" Does this mean that I must complete by undergrad in 5 years? Thanks in advance
  8. Anyone know of any 1-year masters programs, especially in health/sciences, ideally course-based and online (would like to be able to work to pay off student loans and be able to stay at home to save on rent)?
  9. Oh wow they're quite detailed! Good to find out which part of the application process needs improvement.
  10. How did you find out about your rank?
  11. You’re not alone, on the same boat as you
  12. Invited! Anyone in Vancouver want to start prepping for interviews?
