  1. Hey! I did a MSc and am entering MDCM this year. Feel free to send me a PM
  2. I was wondering if there are any special promos banks are doing for med student LOC? I heard in previous years they gave out iPads or cash back, but from my own research, it seems like so far, there aren't any special back to school offers yet. Thanks!
  3. Hey! I'm in the same boat as you, also OOP. I think I'm going to wait until we get more information. Since the fall semester is online for most undergraduate programs at McGill, hopefully the demand for housing won't be as strong. Would like to hear what others think though!
  4. Ah this is great. Thanks for this! I guess we have to check in periodically to see if they make any changes!
  5. Did they ever send out an email about course registration? I don't think I ever received it...
  6. Does anyone know how classes will be like due to COVID? I've been trying to find updates about it online but so far haven't had much luck. It's difficult to decide whether to make the move to Montreal given the current situation, especially if all classes will be held online for the term. Any insights will be much appreciated.
  7. How about the first aid course we need to take? I don't think any courses are being held right now due to COVID. Any news on this?
  8. Is this for the first year or two? What neighbourhoods do students live in usually then?
  9. Hi all, Random question here, but can anyone tell me where classes are usually held for McGill MDCM? Is there a particular building on campus or is it at a certain hospital site? Thanks in advance!
  10. Hi Cristina, I was in the same boat as you for the past couple of years and I really understand how you feel. I've done numerous interviews and received flat out rejections from all of them. Seeing friends the same age as me get in and some even graduating and doing residency right now really made me feel depressed at times, but every time I was on the verge of switching careers, something in me told me to keep going and keep trying, and I feel that you are in a very similar boat as me. You are already in a better position than I was given you recognize that you need to work on your MMI (something that I didn't realized until much later, as I kept thinking it was my grades that was the issue). I was very fortunate to have been accepted this year and have received a lot of pointers in terms of MMI prep from this community. If you'd like to chat more, please DM me.
  11. After interviews, they only consider MMI and pre-req GPA
  12. TIME STAMP: I checked at around 4pm Result: Admitted with condition pre-reqGPA: ~3.65 MCAT: 510+ Feeling About MMI (please be mindful of NDA): Had one good station and walked out of everything else thinking I didn't too well. IP/OOP/International: IP Comment: It felt so unreal seeing "admitted with condition" on Minerva that I had to log in 2 more times to make sure that it wasn't a glitch. I've applied to many medical schools for the past 3-4 cycles and throughout these years of rejections, I have considered switching my career goal many times since my aspiration of being a MD seemed so out of reach, but every time I was about to make that decision, there was something in me that told me to keep going and keep pushing through. I've reviewed countless of posts like these here, and I can't believe that I finally have the chance to post some good news!
