  1. Posting for stats Result: Good Waitlist Time Stamp: May 8, 7:45 AM EST Stream: English wGPA: 3.99 CASPer: felt good about it EC’s: Strong - very diverse, lots of medically related volunteering, working part-time through undergrad, decent research + awards Interview: I was battling a flu, but still felt I managed to do well! Low stress, had a friendly and conversational panel. Prepared a lot for this. Congrats to all who received acceptances! I will be removing my name from the wait list, as I have accepted my offer at Dalhousie. Best of luck to those still waiting for good news!
  2. ACCEPTED! IP GPA: 4.0 MCAT: 507 ECs: felt that this component of my app was strong - very diverse, lots of medically related volunteering, working part-time through undergrad, decent research + awards. PM me for more info if interested! Interview: Had a very positive experience - felt calm and collected the whole time. Practiced a lot for this. Absolutely thrilled!!!! I can't wait to meet the class of 2022
  3. Definitely agree - it was very conversational, but at times I found the interruptions distracted me from what I wanted to say. However, not a bad experience! Felt fortunate to have a friendly panel and was very low stress the entire time. I suppose I had about 10 questions as well. I felt that a few times they changed topics before I was ready to move on, but I tried to be adaptable and go with the flow On an unrelated note - does anyone know if verifiers are contacted before or after interviews? Just curious. Thanks!
  4. Hi all, I've been fortunate enough to receive another medical school interview, but having only prepared for MMIs before, I'm not sure how to approach prep for a panel interview! Is there anything I should do differently? What should I expect from the panel? I'd love to hear any tips/info you may have
  5. Yes that’s what I did! I received an email back confirming that they received my confirmation
  6. I was told that Dal typically interviews 50-60 OOP. So probably 228-238 IP interviewees for 102 IP seats. Brings the odds up a little!
  7. Hey s111, I also haven’t received an email with info about the interviews. I got an email confirming receipt of my confirmation of attendance, but nothing else yet. Please post if you hear anything, and I will do the same!
  8. Not sure if this helps - last year when I didn't receive an interview from Ottawa, the rejection email said they would interview approximately 575 people for 164 seats. I assume it would be roughly the same this year! This year however, the numbers weren't stated on my invite to interview, so I can't say for sure.
  9. Invite! Time Stamp: 29/01/2018 6:44pm AST Location: OOP Stream: English wGPA: 4.0 Current year: Graduated ECs: Diverse. Lots of UG clubs/societies, some leadership positions. Mix of long and short term volunteering, with lots of medically-related volunteering. Worked part-time throughout UG. Lots of research experience & related awards. Casper: Felt good about it. Absolutely thrilled!
  10. OOP here - anyone else still have yet to receive an application acknowledgement email?
  11. Invite!! IP but still thrilled - looking forward to meeting you all
  12. Thanks medbruh - good to know! I've been checking my email constantly... based on what we were told at the info session at Dal in June, I was expecting to be notified whether we "passed" or "failed" the CASPer
  13. Interviews are Nov. 25 & 26, according to a friend of mine who is a Med 1 at dal.
  14. Hi everyone, Just nitpicking my ABS as I prepare to submit. I've been trying to decide if I should include some personal interests (for example: baking, art, fitness training, etc.). Did any of you include similar types of unstructured activities? If so, did you simply include them in the "other" category? Thanks!
