  1. Being aware that salaries vary by province, approximately how much are residents paid each year? I would like to get an idea of how fast I can start paying everything back Thanks!
  2. Red is my favourite colour and it would be beyond awesome if our backpacks turned out to be red! That being said, as someone who dreamt for years of someday owning one of these backpacks, hand me any colour and I'll treasure it with my life.
  3. Result: Waitlisted Timestamp: 9:45AM GPA: 3.97 MCAT: 513 ECs: A good variety but nothing super memorable IMO Interviews: I thought I bombed the interview, which was probably true haha. Year: 3rd year UG Will be taking myself off the waitlist to accept another offer. Congrats to those accepted and best of luck to those still waiting!
  4. Accepted! cGPA: 4 MCAT 513 OOP, 3rd year UG Interview: was confident immediately afterwards, then started to doubt my answers. I'm incredibly grateful and happy to receive an offer, but will probably decline to stay closer to home. Hopefully this helps out one of you!
  5. Accepted to Hamilton! So grateful and happy for this offer! Timestamp: 8:28 am cGPA: 3.97 CARS: 128 Casper: I thought it was just okay, not great but not disastrous Interview: My last interview so I wasn't too nervous and felt fairly well-prepared. I thought most stations went well, but the acting station and a couple others stations felt rough. IP, 3rd year UG
  6. I'm seriously shaking right now... It took me the last couple hours to calm down enough to remember to post! Result: Accepted (St. George) Timestamp: 8:11am (EST) cGPA: 3.97 MCAT: Above cut offs ECs: A good variety with some long-term activities, but felt pretty vanilla. Essays: Spent a lot of time on them and felt they were strong. Interview: Felt good about 2 stations, okay about 1 station, and very iffy about 1 station Year: 3rd year UG Geography: IP I'm torn between U of T and McMaster, but am leaning towards U of T! Either way, I am super grateful to have the choice. Edit: forgot to change my ECs from the copied post
  7. Result: Accepted GPA: 4.0 Year: 3rd Year UG MCAT: 513 ECs: A good mix, but pretty vanilla IMHO Interview: Really enjoyed it and loved the U of A campus! Geography: OOP
  8. Hope interviews went well for everyone! I met so many amazing, accomplished applicants and it's been a great journey with y'all. I'm trying not to think too much now that interviews are out of the way, and I don't want sound presumptuous. However, I realized I might have a slight problem if I was to receive an offer. I believe most med schools have a deadline of ~August 1 for submission of immunization record/CPR/police record checks. I will be travelling to Asia right after my last exam until the first week of August for research, so I was wondering if August 1 tends to be a hard deadline, or do schools allow extensions? I haven't been able to find any info online and I'm hesitant to get my CPR certification, TB testing, and all that done before I leave since I might not get an offer. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
  9. I am in the exact same situation but have both on the 26th instead (wouldn't it be great if we just switched? ). I've heard U of T is very flexible on rescheduling! Since Queens/Mac/Western all have interviews this weekend, I imagine many people may have this issue too.
  10. If anyone is interested in practicing by Skype, PM me!
  11. It does indeed look like CASPer... I'm curious to see how this will factor into post-interview weighting, since McMaster and Ottawa just use CASPer in pre-interview scores but not post-interview iirc
  12. Does anyone know how many rounds of interviews they run each day?
  13. Result: Invite Time Stamp: 4:10 PM EST cGPA: 3.97 (OMSAS) Year: 3rd year UG MCAT: I think it was 129/128/129/127 but honestly I don't remember anymore ECs: Pretty vanilla, had a variety of experiences but nothing extraordinary. PM for details Geography: OOP Good luck to everyone! Hang in there!!
