  1. Hi all, I have been wait-listed back to back years. Feeling defeated and questioning whether I should pursue a different career (such as Nursing). I have been accepted to the U.K for this September but the huge student debt, difficulties of passing the boards, and anxiety of moving across the World is making me start to change my mind and decide to work and apply one last time to Canada or even look at alternative careers for a backup. I am looking for advice or anyone that has experienced the same thing. Thank you.
  2. Anyone else not get in and heading to Glasgow this Jan? Please message me if you are and wanna get a place together.
  3. Same here! Also in the top half for Dal. Just really want to have an idea what's happening. It's so unfortunate they didn't tell us our ranking this year for Queen's. 2nd time applying so If I dont hear back I will be going to Glasgow in January.
  4. Has any OOP heard from the Dal PT waitlist? Has any OOP accepted applicants declined there acceptance?
  5. Just got the Queen's waitlist email, but it did not say my place on the waitlist.
  6. did anyone from Ontario get into dal PT and plan on not accepting?
  7. 3.9sGPA so I think you'll be ahead of me. I also think I did well for CASPer with prep and practise
  8. What were the dates last year that applicants heard back from Dal? Early May is very vague...
  9. I believe once you make the cut-off the assessment is solely on your personal statements/academic and professional references. I'm unsure how many students make this stage.
  10. No I unfortunately don't, worth asking though. Crazy how much Queen's went down due to probationary statues I'm guessing?
  11. I got this email today. It appears Queen's sub GPA cutoff has went down.
  12. Applied + (PT or OT?): Queen's, Mac, Dalhousie (All PT)Accepted:Waitlisted:Rejected:GPA:c-gpa and s-gpa: cGPA ~3.4, sGPA 3.75 Perceived strength of essays/interviews/references: Second time applying. Worked in LTC as a PTA assistant for over a year, worked at the hospital for 3 months on a contract as a PTA and was exposed to neuromuscular and cardio-respiratory physio. 100 of hours at private clinic. Athletic therapist of University soccer team. 2 amazing references from the PT I worked under and my undergrad thesis supervisor, 3rd one was a prof that I was unsure how good of a reference he'd give me. Heading to the UK if I do not get in this run. Am praying for Queen's.
  13. I have 12 courses for my 4th year. (2nd time applying). Will they pull the average 8 marks from my 3rd year (including summer) or will the average leave out the 3rd year summer courses?
  14. Is this the first year? Will GPA be emphasized less this year because of it?
  15. Anyone know if they have one? OR any students with lower GPAs get accepted?
