    UBC MOT Schedule

From the UBC MOT Curriculum document it says it usually is, Monday to Friday between 9-12 and between 1-4. That was for the class of 2019, but I would assume it would be similar for the class of 2020. Here is the document: http://med-fom-osot.sites.olt.ubc.ca/files/2017/07/MOT-Curriculum-Map-2017-2019.pdf
  2. Ah yeah I'm in the same boat, so hopefully the movement continues to happen.
  3. Hello, Does anyone know how many spots the UBC MOT waitlist typically moves? I tried searching this forum for information from past years, but so far no luck. If I find any info I'll be sure to update this post. Also for individuals who were waitlisted for UBC's MOT program in previous years, but then were offered a seat, what was your initial waitlist number? Thanks EDIT: Also, does anyone know if this information means that for 2017 intake, there were 365 applicants for the MOT program, admission offers were given to 66 individuals, and a total of 52 individuals were admitted, so then there was 66-52 = 14 people accepted off the waitlist? https://imgur.com/a/ga5Oa
  4. Thanks for the update. Are you also still on the waitlist?
  5. How many positions has it moved in total now, 6/7?
  6. Yeah that does, thank you so much. A few of my friends went from UBC to Queens, and they say Kingston has a more welcoming feel than Vancouver. Hope you enjoy it there!
  7. Hey if you don't mind me asking, what position were you waitlisted at for UBC MOT? Also out of all the options, what is your preferred location and is it PT/OT? Thanks
  8. I believe only OT at UBC tells individuals their number on the waitlist.
  9. Anyone who got OT/PT results today planning on declining a MOT offer from UBC, or dropping out of the waitlist? Thanks
  10. Thanks! I recall some people mentioning an offer to nominate in the McGill thread, do you know if that is the same as an admission offer?
  11. Does anyone know which schools so far have sent out admission offers in Canada, for OT and PT?
  12. Where were you able to find that info? Was it the graduate studies site, and then just changing the settings on the excel file to show just PT?
  13. Thanks for letting us know, and congrats guys!! Hopefully the list continues to move a bit more.
  14. For anyone that was accepted to UBC PT, did you by any chance also apply to UBC OT and get in or get put on waitlist for OT? If so, which are thinking of dropping? Thanks
  15. Thank you for letting us know! Congratulations!!
  16. sorry i have no clue, maybe someone else might know or u can always send UBC MOT an email.
  17. Hey DenisOTHopefull, I'm also on the waitlist currently, albeit a bit below you guys, could you also possibly let me know as well if you get an offer? Thanks
  18. Yeah I don't know why the numbers don't add up. But if I split it by domestic/international, it says 11 offers were made to international students and of those 11, 8 accepted. For domestic, it says 55 offers and 44 accepted. Maybe because of the limited seats, those 4 unaccounted for seats represent individuals who did not complete the program in 2 years, so are still attending?
  19. Also, does anyone know if this information means that for 2017 intake, there were 365 applicants for the MOT program, admission offers were given to 66 individuals, and a total of 52 individuals were admitted, so then there was 66-52 = 14 people accepted off the waitlist? https://imgur.com/a/ga5Oa
  20. Yes I did.
  21. Were you an out of province applicant? UBC has multiple scales for GPA calculation, which one did you use?
  22. Has anyone still not heard from them yet?
  23. Hello, The guidelines for the statement of intent on UBC's MOT page state that "PLEASE USE YOUR FULL NAME AS THE HEADING FOR YOUR STATEMENT.". Does that mean I just write my name at the top in the center, then just have the content of my SOI? Thanks
  24. Hello, I'm currently entering the 4th year of my BSc in biology at UBC and I'm thinking of pursuing the MOT after I finish my degree. Regarding the entrance requirements, do they take into account the marks in the 3 creds of psychology, 3 creds of sociology and 3 creds of human anatomy, or do they only consider the 300 and 400 level courses? Also for anyone that is in the MOT program right now, for the 70 hours of volunteer experience, does volunteering in the OT program at one of the Vancouver Acute Hospitals count? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
  25. My overall GPA is only a 79 currently in 3rd year but I have an upwards trend from 72 -> 77 -> 82 -> 86%. I failed math in 1st year and decided to stick with the 4 courses per term (non full load). Regardless of MCAT score, I feel like I would not be competitive due to a low GPA and not taking a full course load. I can take a full course load in my last year, but should I even bother with taking the MCAT, my chances for UBC or oop seem really low. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
