  1. Hi everyone, I remember reading on here last year that it was a good rule of thumb to include in your essay the activity number and/or the verifier #, when making reference to anything in your essays - that is also included in the autobiographical sketch. However, I did not see any indication of that on the Help Guide, nor did I see any posts about it on the forum, this year. I'm not sure if this may be due to my carelessness and I missed it, or if this is a rumour going around about the essays for U of T? If someone could clarify and provide some feedback - that'd be great! thank you!!
  2. Hello everyone, So I am not applying as an Indigenous applicant or in the Black Student application program; and neither am I applying in MD/PhD program - hence, I don't think I need to submit an essay for them. However, the system keeps saying 'Not Entered' even though, I have clicked on the link and pressed the 'save and submit' button (without inputting anything in there). Does anyone have any solution for this?

How To Remove A Referee for a Reference Letter

Thank you! I called OMSAS this morning and thats what they recommended I do, as well! To anyone else reading this, and wondering the same thing, I want you to know that it is possible!
  4. So I had someone who had given me a reference letter last year and this year when I asked them, it was up in the air but I thought that they would obviously do it again, if they did it last year (since its the same letter pretty much) and I submitted their name through the OMSAS system and it sent them an email. However, now they said they can't and don't feel comfortable doing it (no idea, but its okay). Anywho, I found another referee, but don't know how to remove the first one, since the email was already sent. Any Advice? I know i have to have this figured out by September 15th - so any advise would be helpful!!
  5. did you get any messages? I didn't find any help unfortunately on this forum :/
  6. So I applied for this cycle, and didn't get an interview at U of T, but got one at UBC and I was a little confused as to where my application was lacking. In my opinion, I thought I had hit all the essentials but, obviously I was missing something - hence, I'm planning on applying again, and could greatly appreciate some help from preferably U of T admitted MD student, to go over my application and provide recommendations on what to improve. Btw, I will be paying for your time as well!! Any help would be appreciated!! I did post this earlier but, unfortunately, was unable to follow up due to unforeseen circumstances. But, this is definitely my priority right now and I would really appreciate your expertise!
  7. I've presented a few posters at my university's annual research day, however on the UBC application, I'm noticing that under the research tab, and under "Level" only three options are coming up - provincial, national, and international. Hence, would it be okay to put my poster presentation at my university, under the provincial level, since thats the only option possible? another way to think about it could be, that other students from the province could ideally present at this conference, if they wanted to? idk tho, thank you for your time!

  9. Okay, so I took my second english class in the Fall semester (September - December), and made note of that on my UBC application. However, now that I'm in the Winter semester and have completed my second english - I don't know how to provide a 'Proof of Enrollment' for my English class? For example, should I screenshot my non-official transcript and show that I got credit/ a grade for the English class? Although, this does seem a bit sketch, so any advice would be appreciated.
