  1. I know usually incoming students find out the backpack colour early July during Calgary's first week, but since they're starting virtually, does anyone know when the new backpack colour might be revealed?
  2. I was also told by admissions this year that GPA and MCAT are assessed competitively beyond the cut-offs. But not sure if this is pre or post interview or both
  3. Hi everyone, I was wondering if there are any current UBC med students who attended UBC from another province who can speak about their experience? I am currently trying to decide between UBC and Queen's and I like the idea of living in a city like Vancouver as someone from the GTA, but I am hesitant about being far from home. I also did my undergrad at Queen's so I do have experience living in Kingston (not crazy about the idea of going back for another 4 years, but I did enjoy my undergrad there). I would appreciate anyone who can comment on UBC vs Queen's and their experience there as an OOP! Feel free to PM me and thanks in advance!

  7. I'm probably not going to use any earphones and just use my built in computer mic as well, as I find earphones distracting and they echo a bit. I'm sure it will be fine!

  11. Hi everyone, I have been fortunate enough to receive an interview at UBC this cycle which means I have to fulfill the English prereq in the new year. I was wondering if anyone can speak to their experience taking English at Thompson Rivers (TRU) or Athabasca? Or if anyone has any experience with other online English courses they enjoyed (or didn't cost $1000 per course) Thanks!

  13. Hey everyone, I was just wondering how to enter the "date awarded" for awards received on a yearly basis (ex: Dean's List). The system does not allow one to list several years (ex: 2016, 2017, 2018, etc). Is it recommended to list the most recent date and then expand in the description section or? Thanks!
