    Need some advice

I've volunteered at a rehab clinic before, and am starting volunteering at a general hospital this month. Nothing much apart from that.

    Need some advice

Hi guys, so this is a longshot but I am kinda lost with what to do next and in need of some advice :/ So I am a Canadian applicant from Ontario, and I applied to OMSAS schools last cycle (Got an interview from Queens, but didn't get in :/). For next cycle I was thinking that I should apply to US schools as well as OMSAS for backup. I realize that the applications for the US schools have already started, but I still want to give it a shot. So here's my questions: I have yet to take a full year of English, and only have 1 physics with a lab component course ... do you know any school where I can apply without these. If not, can I enroll in these courses for this summer and still apply to US schools this cycle? Also, can I enroll in any uni for completing these prerequisites? Can you also tell me if you think I have a shot at US schools considering these stats: Completed Undergrad in Biochem at Mcmaster in Apr 2018 cGPA is 3.97 (OMSAS Scale) cGPA is 3.99 (AMCAS Scale) Most recent MCAT 516 (130/127/130/129) Very little shadowing (shadowed a physiotherapist for like 200ish hours). Good research (About 2 years of research experience ... 1 first author paper in review). Pretty average volunteering. Decent letters of reference. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Awards

yea 1st to 4th for duration. For the when received, just list all years out with commas separating them. There is no hard and set rule of what you can include. Use your own judgement and ensure that it is clear when a person reads through it. They won't penalize you for things like this

    Awards

one entry with duration being all 4 years. Otherwise, it will look like filler.

    Chances for Canadian Med

Yea mb, should've mentioned that I'm in Ontario.
  9. Hey guys, so I wanted to see if I have any chances at Western with these stats: cGPA: 3.96 best 2 years: 3.98 MCAT: 516 (130/127/130/129) 1 year research with poster pres, and paper on the way. Decent volunteer, and low EC. 3 strong LORs. Idk, that CARS score is still pretty low (fk canadian med). Is it worth applying to Western with this? Also, what other UNIs do you guys think I have a chance at? Thanks.
  10. Hey guys, so I have 2 solid LORs from my research supervisor and the CEO of a physiotherapy clinic at which I volunteered. I am having a bit of trouble finding someone else who I believe can be a good reference. Someone I have in mind is a coach I have for a small cricket league that plays other local teams and stuff (ie. its not something that gets much attention or funding or anything. Mostly just recreational stuff). He has known me for more than 10 years, and can definitely attest to my character. I don't know if it matters for me to use someone like that, as he won't have a letterhead or any sort of position in a company if you will. I am trying to apply to the med schools in Ontario and was wondering if someone can chime in on this. Also, can someone guide me towards other options and who I should contact as my third referee? I am coming up with nothing atm as I already have a prof and a volunteer reference. Any ideas? Thanks.
