Application Process Time Demand

I had a 128 and didn’t think I would meet the cutoff last year, so I wrote mine in 45min and sent it in lol worked out fine -

I agree with your point on differentiating the roles of NP and GPs, but let's not minimize the education and experience of NPs. NPs will have a 4 year BSCN, 2 years of full time practice as a RN and 2 years of graduate schooling resulting in a masters in nursing and a NP graduate diploma. That's a minimum of 8 years to become a NP in Canada, arguably more time spent in healthcare than a new grad GP If you want to just compare time. Only recently, NPs have received a much needed pay bump. I don't think GPs are getting overpaid, but rather NPs are underpaid as healthcare providers.

the 300$ comes with conditions too, but not hard to meet: Complete two (2) of the following three (3) activities in your Eligible Account within 60 days of opening: a. Set up an eligible recurring direct deposit (e.g., employer payroll, pension provider, or government) which will recur monthly for a minimum of three (3) consecutive months, or b. Set up a minimum of two (2) eligible separate recurring pre-authorized transactions (e.g., utility payments, property taxes, loan/mortgage payments) with a minimum value of at least $50 per transaction which will each recur monthly for a minimum of three (3) consecutive months, or c. Make at least one eligible online bill payment (e.g. utility bill, hydro bill, credit card payment, cable) of at least $50 through the Scotiabank Mobile App or through Scotia OnLine.

Current nurse - where to start?
orthoooo replied to LDRN01's topic in Non-Traditional Applicants/Grad Students
I would not ask your manager for a reference unless you are 100% sure that they will write you an outstanding reference. In my experience, it can be quite toxic and unsupportive within the nursing field, especially when it comes to applying to med. I would tread carefully and be careful who you tell and trust. Do not be fooled by the niceties.
