    McMaster or Western?

Just to address this, as someone who went to Mac, Hamilton/McMaster are not unsafe. Friends who started at Mac and then went to Western said they preferred Hamilton and felt safer there. The 3- vs. 4-year debate is probably the most important factor to consider here, as well as your support systems and the opportunities provided by both schools.
  2. Result: Accepted, Hamilton Time-stamp: 7:47 AM (but saw on OMSAS at midnight) cGPA: 3.68 CARS: 130 CASPer: Tons of practice to make up for my GPA. Used a lot of free online resources MMI: Prepped for a long time with friends and fellow applicants. Felt good about most of the stations except 2. One station I got distracted halfway through and totally blanked/missed the question. Started doubting myself in the weeks after Year: 2nd year MSc Geography: IP Thrilled for this opportunity! Congrats everyone & best of luck to anyone on the waitlist

  6. Result: Accepted!! Geography: OOP cGPA: 3.89 (My MSc GPA really brought me up) MCAT: 511 (130 CARS) Degree: Finishing up MSc EC: Research, volunteering, clinically-oriented employment, creative projects, advocacy MMI: Prepped for a long time. Really liked the variety/amount of opportunities Calgary gave to showcase who you are but was very tired by the end. Thought I bombed at least 2 stations and felt pretty awful afterwards. Tried to be as honest as possible. Sooo surprised but grateful! Calgary gave a great first impression. Friendly students and staff, positive atmosphere, and I appreciated how transparent the Admissions Director was about the whole process. Hope I will see some of you next year and best of luck to everyone on this journey!
