  1. Does Scotia offer a 2 year grace period by contract? Because, the adviser I am talking to gave me a contract with a 1 year grace period on it, and said the grace period extension is optional, but didn't give me the option to add it to the contract.
  2. I think Queens takes your best score, while the rest take the most recent. Multiple attempts don't matter unless you are applying to the US.

Doug Ford & OPC clinches majority government...

Sure, ideally not having a costed platform can make you more flexible and may lead to better solutions. However, this is only applicable if Doug Ford had made 0 promises. As of right now, the Ontario government will eliminate multiple sources of income via cutting taxes (i.e. scrapping carbon taxes). The conservatives, also, promised to balance the budget by the end of their first year. Furthermore, their plan wants to increase spending by 10 billion. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-ontario-ndp-and-pc-election-platforms-offer-sharp-contrast-pricey/ https://www.macleans.ca/opinion/three-ontario-parties-zero-fiscal-discipline/ Now if Doug Ford wants to keep these promises, he is going to have to cut a lot from somewhere. We have no idea were the cuts are going to come from without a costed platform. Knowing the numbers might have impacted how people voted. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. The PCs won. Hopefully, they know what they are doing.

Ontario just elected a person without a costed platform, that ran on empty platitudes. So who knows. I doubt if, even, Doug Ford can tell you. Atleaset, we get 1 dollar beer.
  5. I guess we will have to wait till monday before we can accept or do anything.
  6. Do you know how long it takes to get the official email, and the deadline to accept the offer? I forgot to ask

  8. My interview started out great. But then I started overanalyzing the situation: getting anxious when they weren't writing after I answered a question, or when I thought the interviewers exchanging looks. Long story short, by the end of interview I was feeling terrible, so I think I forgot to shake their hands. I think I whispered a thank you and walked out. I, also, really got distracted by the writing. I caught myself looking at their paper for more than 30 secs once, so I hope they didn't think I was trying to read what they were writing down. My answers were fine, but everything else was meh.

I assume with human markers there will always be weird psychological phenomena that come into play. I remember marking applications( not med school ones) were the first applications looked amazing, however, after a while things started getting repetitive and the scores that I gave out started getting lower. Even when you are consciously trying, it's very difficult to be consistent.
  10. How long are you typically supposed to spend per question on panel style interviews?
  11. Queens is one of those schools that explicitly state that they don't accommodate interviews. No idea why they do this; just adds unnecessary stress.

    Rejection Year Advice?

Make sure you explain your ECs well. You can have great ECs, however convey them poorly on your ABS.

They said they were mostly done for the early march date. There are 3 dates left. So about 50-55% more invites to go.
