  1. Thank you soooo much , im over the moon right now!
  2. Result: ACCEPTED!!!!!! Timestamp: 8:45AM GPA: 3.53 cGPA / 3.96 wGPA MCAT: 515 ECs: Diverse/Unique feel free to PM me Interviews: I had two interviews this cycle. The fact that this was my second interview really primed me for this one. I felt like the MMI was shaky but I stuck with all my answers and the panel was so friendly and supportive. I felt like I was in a movie the whole time I was at Queen's, loved talking to all the M1's Year: Graduated HBSc last year
  3. Same here, the 6:30 alarm went off and ive been on pins and needles since!
  4. Hahah you're right im a seasoned F5 veteran at this point..
  5. Im sitting here spamming my F5 button from now, gotta get warmed up for tomorrow
  6. Lord knows how im going to get a minute of sleep tonight..
  7. These are some great points/advice. I wonder, though, how we could possibly be rewarding stellar highschool performance with a 70% acceptance rate into professional schools when spots are so very scarce and a blatant advantage when it comes to GPA? I suppose part of me is salty because I had to bust my butt off for relatively competitive med stats and also I was a complete mess coming out of highschool and wish I had that kind of guidance in lifesci
  8. I did my H.BSc in Biology at McMaster (transferred from life sci) and minored in Biochemistry. I think saying mac is an easy school to do well is a bit of a stretch. I have many peers who have struggled to maintain marginally competitive GPAs. Health sciences, on the other hand, is notoriously easy. I can't tell you how much more time my healthsci friends had to prepare for the MCAT, volunteer, work etc because they had cakewalk courses. Not taking anything away from them, there are some brilliant minds from that program. Now, on the other hand, there are some students in mac life sci who abuse the many electives they have to take the absolute birdiest courses (environmental sciences, water, econ). In this way, a life sci degree at mac can be much easier.
  9. Lets goooooOooOooo 4 days of madness left, blessings to all you beautiful people
  10. Same here, we have no doctors in my family and were first-generation immigrants. So I get a lot of "Habibi why do you stress, relax, just don't think about it!". It's almost impossible for me to convey why the wait/uncertainty is the most nerve-wracking part of the process
  11. Raptors getting past the Cavs and getting good news May 8th would make this the best summer of my life.
  12. omg me too, I don't have work to distract me anymore so im going crazy!!

  14. Less than two weeks till D-Day now guys, my heart rate increases exponentially each day that passes!!!!!
  15. Time Stamp: April 12, 2:00PM With tears in my eyes... ACCEPTED!!!!!!!! (OOP WL) GPA: 3.9 MCAT: 515 Essay: I tried my hardest on this section bc im not very confident in my essay writing but ended up having to rush it more than I thought I would have to due to work. Weakest section by far really recommend taking extra time on this!! ECs: Research for a couple of years in Biology and Humanities (no pubs but impact was significant curriculum changes to 2 large uni courses), curriculum design assistant (published 2 interactive books), digital media assistant (mostly videography), undergrad TA for 2 terms,1300+ hrs of paid mentorship and tutoring, Crohns/Colitis volunteer, some unique placement experiences, cofounder of a startup. Interview: First interview of my life so I had a lot of trouble sleeping the night before. I felt like most of the sections were okay, 2 stations I felt really good on, but there was a station I completely bombed because I didnt read the prompt correctly and there wasn't enough time to save it. My total score was 77.63 I am a non-trad applicant and ive worked through so many failures and uncertainties its hard to describe how amazing this feels. I was put on academic probation after first year because I couldn't handle this idea of trying to out-compete my peers, the anxiety was too much and I was too scared to reach out for help. It took a break from uni for 1.5 years for me to be able to face my fears and accept being vulnerable/reaching out for help. I told myself that if this didn't happen for me this year, I would have to start pursuing a realistic backup. At a time where my family has been struggling, being able to call my momma and update her with this is unbelievable. This process almost feels like its designed to test your constitution constantly, I can't tell you how many times I nearly gave up. Don't let the process make you forget your own intrinsic value in this world, we all mean so much more than an application!!!
  16. Lol stop it, you're making everyone jealous with those stats.. Get to applying dummy you're a star!!
  17. Since the academic session is winding down most of my workload is gone now im stuck in my own head going crazy thinking about a million emotionally charged scenarios
  18. I spoke to admissions over the phone. They base it on a z-score for each section of the application score. So you're ranked on how each section score compares. It was explained a bit vaguely. However, they did mention that comparing each section to the averages gives you a decent idea of where you are on the list/your chances. The anonymous polls on these forums might give us helpless OOPs a better grasp of where everyone lies. Also, the waitlist may flux a bit at the end of this month with Memorial decisions rolling out. It's likely that the largest movement will be around May with Ontario results coming out.
  19. Result: Invite Time Stamp: Jan 31st ~3PM Interview Date: Feb 24th wGPA/cGPA: 3.95 (2yr)/3.53 (4yr) Year: Graduated 2016 Summer, working fulltime since MCAT: 128/127/130/130 (515) ECs: Overall pretty diverse and unique, I would say slightly above average, TAing, 2+ years research in Biology and Humanities. 2+ years mentorship/leadership. ~1.5 years curriculum development/design.
