  1. If you look at the stats from UBC they say 38-40 are accepted off the WL for the past 3 years. Wish you all the best!
  2. Hello, I was wondering if a current UoC student could give us some insight into its 3 year program. Is the course load more intense? Or is it just the same as a 4 year program except summer breaks are 2 weeks instead of 2.5 months - and the extra year is saved merely by shortening the summer/winter breaks? Thanks!
  3. I use to just sit in 1st year French class and listen to the lectures. Just don;t hand in assignments and don't do the tests and you'll be gravy : )

  7. Result: Accepted!! Geography: OOP cGPA: 93% (adjusted) MCAT: 520 Degree: BA EC: Research 3+ years with department head, volunteering at various homeless shelters/church youth group leader/big brother etc, employment for the past few years after graduating,, advocacy for single parent financial support (mainly for low-income housing). MMI: I took one of those MMI prep programs. EXTREMELY expensive, but paid off IMO. This is my 3rd time doing MMI. Did very very poorly for my first 2 times but the course paid off. Will be waiting for the rest of the schools to release results - if accepted, I will be choosing the other schools as the 3rd condensed program seems stressful (at least for me). PLEASE NOTE, Dr. Ian Flemming seems like an awesome person. I can tell how passionate he is about his job. Out of all the other schools I applied to, he gave me the impression that he's the most caring. Extremely impressed with how much time and effort him/his team spent interviewing us - very grateful !!
  8. Trips to Vegas is on sale, you're going to be getting a 250k loan in a month so why not spend the next 15 days down there for the wait : )
  9. Last year a friend of mine got the exact same thing as you. For his case, his overall score was too low but since he grew up in Smithers he was also scored in the rural stream and got into the NMP. Hope that helps.
  10. I was under the impression that you're suppose to send an email as a verifier/reference? Why would you be calling?
  11. 5 of mine were contacted this week (guess they really don't trust me......). I was told that the email said they need to respond by May 7th. So I'm going to guess that acceptances are sent out the week after (May 13 onwards).
  12. My last name starts with an R and 2 of my references were contacted last Wednesday.
  13. I think if your references havent been contacted by the end of the month then you're toast.
  14. you might not want to disclose too much during your convo with UoS admins b/c they might recindtheir offer due to your grad-program.
  15. Doesn't it mean that as an IP your overall score was high enough for them to check your reference? I'm asking for insight b/c the way I see it is that I do not think it would be a good use of their time by contacting every person who only passed the interview when there is a chance that some of them might not have a high enough overall score to be accepted or on WL. Your thoughts?
  16. Doesn't that mean you're accepted if you're IP?
  17. What do they talk about? I can't imagine it taking more than 1 min.
  18. Anyone know if their references were contacted? They started contacting references on Mar 29 for the past 2 years.
  19. Does McGill offer reasons on why you didn't get an interview?
  20. Does anyone know if there is a video of the presentation? Thanks.
  21. Anyone getting the message saying "The scheduler is closed."
