  1. Hi all, So I am aware that Uoft just switched to MMI format interviews last year. I was just curious about what kind of MMI questions they ask. Was it similar to medical school MMIs with an emphasis on medical ethics, or was it more of a situational questions like what would you do in certain situations? I'm not really familiar with medical ethics so I would like to know if it is necessary for me to learn it. Also, were you guys given a prompt/follow-up questions if you finished early? Thanks in advance

    November 2018 DAT Thoughts

So I see the November 2018 scaling now and damn what the hell happened to the science average? Looks like they literally murdered everyone's bio score but bumped up RC which really screwed me over. I was hoping my science average will carry my poor RC but instead my bio mark plummeted and RC increased by very little..... I guess I'll retake on feb good thing DAT Crusher is giving out discounts for resubscribers am I right guys? haha here comes the depression

    November 2018 DAT Thoughts

Okay so about 10 minutes ago I was able to see my transcript for a brief moment but it looks like they took it down again Right now you are able to select "DAT Transcript" option on Student Download page but can't access the transcript..... Really hope that was not my actual transcript since the scores were waaaay different from what I've imagined.... but it had my name and everything so it looks like I'm stuck with those scores

Surprised no one is really posting anything Bio/Chem: Pretty straight forward section. Was lot easier than bootcamp and slightly easier than crusher. But there was this one weird question where I think they balanced only half the equation? not really sure but it kinda threw me off but other than that it was fine. PAT - Keyholes and TFE was easier than crusher, rest of it was around the same difficulty if not easier. Guessed few questions at the end though because I ran out of time RCT: First passage was really intimidating and ended up spending way more time than I should've had. Ended up purely guessing ~6 questions at the end because I ran out of time. It's a shame because the third passage was waaaaaaay easier of a read and I would've probably scored nearly perfect on that section if I had like 5 more minutes. When studying I should've focused more on the timing aspect of the test and not just content. Remember lads. When in doubt just guess and move on.
  7. Hi all, I've noticed that uoft does not look your CVs, essays/PS or recommendation letters unlike many other med/dental schools nowadays. So is it safe to assume that you just need high gpa and DAT in order to get an interview and possibly an admission? There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, I just thought it was odd considering many medical and dental schools are now enforcing more "holistic" admission process. If it is purely a numbers game, does that mean those people who got outright rejected with near 4.0 gpa and 23+ dat just had a bad interview day? Unless interview counts for more than I think it does or there is a "joker card" in the admission formula that no one knows about (ex. personality test), it seems like it's really difficult for an interviewee with low stats to beat an interviewee with perfect stats. Thanks!
