    Please switch spots!!!

Look, as someone who was also frustrated with the slot I got, let's not bring discrimination into this. What are they supposed to do? They can't completely change the schedule or kick someone out of their slot just because you need to be accommodated. That sets a precedent for anyone unhappy with their date. By making it "fair" for you, it's potentially made unfair for someone else.
  2. I spread out my slots on the last weekend and was given a random slot on the first weekend. Is that what happened to you too? The weird thing is, they said it was my 3rd choice...
  3. Not yet. The links aren't working. I called the office but once again, it went right to voicemail.
  4. I chose the later weekend which is what I am assuming most people chose. I would have been fine with them saying that the slots were full and I had to be placed on the earlier weekend. Instead, the email said I was matched with my 3rd choice... I checked countless times to make sure I selected the correct dates. Oh well, not much I can do now.
  5. Yeah it says I got matched with my 3rd choice which wasn't even a choice I selected. Fantastic matching system.
  6. I could not agree more. The top 8 activities I put in my aABS were far from flashy, expensive, or "world-changing"... but they were very genuine. I spoke about them genuinely and talked about the unique lessons I learned from each. To be completely honest, I only had 1 of my essays read over by someone else. The rest I trusted were written well enough and conveyed exactly what I wanted to. I don't think people should even be reading what others did for their activities which is why I won't list mine. It's not nearly as important as what was actually learned from them.
  7. I have zero research and got an invite so I doubt that's it. Sorry to hear you got rejected though. You seem like a great candidate. Maybe your ABS was a weak point?
  8. Time Stamp: 11:09am Invite/reject: Invite IP/OOP: IP SWOMEN (Y/N): Yes 2YGPA: 3.85 MCAT (CHEM/CARS/BIO/PYSCH): 129/127/129/132 ABS Score (If available): Not published
  9. Mine received a call so that's likely their first method
  10. lol I guess not. I remember reading that Jan 31st was the release date in a previous year so that might be the case. Who really knows...
  11. One of mine just got contacted: SWOMEN 3.85 129/127/129/132
  12. You request it through OMSAS while filling out your application (it's one of the tabs). The request itself is only sent to your university once you actually submit your application, after which point your school will take care of it. This only applies if you attended a university in Ontario.

  14. I apologize if this has been answered already but would a Sept. 19th test date be too late for Western's deadlines? On OMSAS it is stated that Nov. 1st is the deadline to release your MCAT score but on Western's website, the MCAT deadline date falls under the Oct. 1st OMSAS deadline as follows: Online Application - due October 1 - Official post-secondary transcripts - Official MCAT (2015 version); must be the most recent results - Non-refundable institutional levy and OMSAS processing fee I'm sure they just meant that you need to take it before Oct. 1st (not that we have any other option anyway) but I just wanted to confirm here.
