  1. Maybe you folks can help me out - I’m wondering what the benefits are for getting a line of credit vs. student loans? Finances are my biggest stressor when I consider the summer and next year and any advice would be great!
  2. I would email or call them for sure! I think the deadline to accept was June 6th or 7th.
  3. Hey! I got mine through GSMS https://www.ualberta.ca/graduate-studies/about/gsms Edit: looks like that is the same thing, I received an email on May 13th with a link to sign in and accept.
  4. Hey everyone! I am moving to Edmonton for the OT program and I am really nervous about trying to find housing. I noticed that the posts on this forum are from last year so if you have any advice or tips let me know! Right now I’m looking at the grad residence at least for my first year as the easiest option. My concerns about residence are noise and parking.
  5. Just got my acceptance letter for the University of Alberta! Good luck to everyone !!
  6. Has anyone else applied for OT at U of A? I know the website says notifications come in mid-May but I’ve been on this forum psyching myself out so I decided to share my stats! Applied + (PT or OT?): University of Alberta (OT)Accepted: Waitlisted:Rejected:GPA:c-gpa and s-gpa: c-GPA 3.9 s-GPA 3.85 Perceived strength of essays/interviews/references: I have experience working with children and vulnerable populations over four years in both a group home and as a teacher in northern Alberta. I would like to complete the program with an Indigenous Focus as I expect to be working in rural and northern Alberta. I received references from the Principal at the school I work in and a professor that I had during my BEd. I am worried about how I did on the CASPer test and how my official GPA will be translated - my graduating university has a more generous threshold for 4.0 scores than most. Any advice/experiences/kind words are welcome !
