  1. I also ended up an interview at Alberta but not Calgary - I'm assuming it's probably the CASPer that played a role in my case as GPA/MCAT would be quite similar
  2. I have a similar concern - I also have back to back interviews and am kind of concerned on how much of a toll it'd take on my mental/physical with all the travelling and prepping If you had the option I feel like spacing it out would give you more time to reflect on your performance/improve, but ultimately it is up to you
  3. For the RVSP form, it says to upload a photo and to look at "photo submission requirements" yet I can't seem to really find the instructions - could someone clarify what kind of photo I need to upload here? LOL - edit: nvm - you had to actually go to the MD candidates website to find instructions, which aren't on the google form
  4. I tried logging into the system and they won't even let me in anymore .... didn't get email either.
  5. Result: Invite GPA: 4.0 MCAT: 522 (131, 130, 131, 130) Current Degree: 4th year undergrad Geography: OOP Extra-curricular: Volunteer at hospital, hospital, VP of certain clubs, research (NSERC), dancing, piano teaching CASPer: Invite to other casper schools as well
  6. Status: Invite Time Stamp: 1220 Location: IP (doesn't this not matter?) MCAT: 522 (131/130/131/130) 2 yr GPA: 3.96, cGPA: 3.90 Current year: 4th year ECs: one summer of heavy research, one year of research volunteer (no pubs or conferences), some club VP, music, volunteering.... I'm honestly so shocked as I was rejected last year - I hope this is some inspiration to people who think they have average/below average EC's, it seems to really depend on who/how they view them. Good luck to everyone interviewing, beyond honoured to be interviewing here this year!
  7. Just wondering - does anyone know if GPA/MCAT was assessed competitively? Or was it solely based on essays?
  8. I think you'd be surprised at how some people answer to what you think are 'common sense' situations. I actually disagree that majority of CASPer is faking - in fact, I personally think that markers can sense if one is excessively cookie cutter. May not be everyone's experience but this is just my two cents. Sometimes being genuine (unless you are genuinely psychopath) might get you further than you think
  9. TIME STAMP: Jan 29 sometimeInterview Date: N/AResult: RegretswGPA: 3.96 I think?MCAT: 130 CARSECs: They were pretty standard - research, volunteering, some employment in hospital. I put in some quirky hobbies but I guess combined with everything the EC's just didn't cut it.Year: 4th yearGeography : OOP Good luck to all with interviews!!
  10. Time Stamp: 9:58am Invite/reject: Inviteee IP/OOP: IP SWOMEN (Y/N): N 2YGPA: 3.96 MCAT (CHEM/CARS/BIO/PSYCH): 131/130/131/130 Essays (X/8): 8/8 - all pretty standard stuff - research, some music, volunteering - they were decent but don't know if they were my best work. Also filled out the "About You" section which kind of related to why I want to pursue medicine. Good luck to everyone, look forward to seeing you all on Interview Day!!
  11. I am also english, but I'm thinking perhaps it's because you responded earlier than I did? I replied the day after I got the invite
  12. We just respond back by directly replying to the invitation email right?
