  1. Does Calgary have seat allocation quotas? ie first fill all in-province reserved seats, than fill all OOP province reserved seats? Also does each waitlist pool of applicants apply to their corresponding groups (ie IP waitlist moves to fill IP seats, and OOP waitlist moves to fill OOP seats), or is it a free-for-all type of scenario?
  2. Waitlisted OOP Canadian Applicant Timestamp: 8:09 AM (MST) GPA: ~88% MCAT: 516 (128/128/130/130) ECs: Long term research and clinical work, some university club involvement and rehab volunteer Interview: It was so long ago looking back, but I enjoyed the process
  3. Result: waitlisted Geography: OOP GPA: 3.90 (no wGPA) MCAT: 128/128/130/130 (516) Degree : BSc (2018) EC: 1+ year medical office assistant, 3+ years cancer research with two pending pubs, VP for 2 university clubs, 2 personal start-up businesses, average awards (just undergraduate academic awards), multiple academic tutor/mentor experiences Interview: Cohort 1, not sure how I felt about the MMIs but I really enjoyed the long stations though
  4. ACCEPTED! Time stamp: 9:31am EST cGPA: 3.86 MCAT: 128/128/130/130 (516) ECs: 1+ year medical office assistant, 3+ years cancer research with two pending pubs, VP for 2 university clubs, 2 personal start-up businesses, average awards (just undergraduate academic awards), multiple academic tutor/mentor experiences Interview: In-person Year: Graduated w/ BSc in 2018, currently working Geography: OOP After 4 years of applying (2nd time interviewing at Queens) and an expiring MCAT score this year...I can't believe I got an offer!!!
  5. same here still, I've seen some "lost email" posts in the other thread...has anyone gotten any news regarding this?
  6. This was my 4th and last try interviewing at UBC Med, found it to be very similar to all previous interviews at UBC, questions were all very interesting and thought provoking. I also really enjoyed the new writing station format change ! As to how I did, I have no idea (LOL), previous years where I thought I did really well or really poorly all resulted in below average interviews, so it's really hard to say. Fingers crossed for May 2020 for some good news :D
  7. Was just wondering, does MUN fill seats corresponding to each competition pools exclusively? For example, referencing the seat allocation/competition pool page on their website, MUN has 80 total seats for their undergraduate medical program: The first 60/80 seats are filled from applicants ONLY from Newfoundland and Labrador, then the next 14 seats are filled from applicants EXCLUSIVELY from New Brunswick and PEI (none of the 14 seats will be filled from Newfoundland/Labrador applicants), then finally the last remaining 6 seats are filled from applicants EXCLUSIVELY from other Canadian provinces/international students. Or would any Newfoundland/Labrador applicants not offered admission to fill the first 60 seats be eligible for consideration for the remaining 20 seats that are allocated for the other competition pools?
