I believe interest is compounded monthly. So you can calculate your monthly interest as principal x (interest rate e.g. 2.20%/12). You can definitely compose an excel sheet and simulate month-by-month borrowing.
But just doing the math in my head, I would say to only take out money when you need it. Make use of your credit cards so you can prolong the time before you have to take out the loan. And definitely try to exhaust all other savings before dipping into the LOC if you can.

In the exact same boat. Was not able to register for Summer 2021, so I sent an email. Will update if they reply.
And yes, they are awfully quiet this year, especially given COVID and a lot of things that have changed.....

Does anyone know how classes will be like due to COVID? I've been trying to find updates about it online but so far haven't had much luck. It's difficult to decide whether to make the move to Montreal given the current situation, especially if all classes will be held online for the term. Any insights will be much appreciated.

    Hi McGill MedAmbassadors,

Any news on how the Fall 2020 semester will be handled, given McGill is intending on proceeding primarily remotely? How will this affect lectures, small group sessions, clinical activities and on-site orientation??

    Thank you!

I’m in the same boat buddy. Take this as an opportunity to finally learn French, for yourself and your future patients (should you choose to practice in Canada)

I mean it’s the only thing that makes sense. It moved 24 spots within a few days of the initial offer. Considering this has never happened before, you can only assume that they succeeded in their negotiations.

I’m also pretty bummed that spots haven’t moved since last week’s release of decisions  I emailed adcoms and they said they update their waitlist website as soon as it moves. So it doesn’t look like they’re accumulating anything.

Also very strange how they made 20 or so waitlist offers in the first two weeks following the first wave of offers....usually the WL goes to ~28 in August (2019 for ex.). Right now its sitting at 28 as of Mid-April

To the upper years: Any indication of when the Facebook group will be made, given the Med Ps got their offers in today?

Given the pandemic, there are a lot of changes that have happened since the University cohort's received offers (immunization cancellations, BCLS requirements, Fall 2020 being online), and a FB group could definitely help to clarify things for the incoming class.
    Thank you!

This usually happens sometime in May and is done by the Medical Student's Society council members. They do this once they receive a student list from the faculty. You will receive an email when this group is created inviting you to join. I cannot say exactly when it will happen, but it should happen very soon.
Stay Safe and congrats on your admission!

This was unecessarily rude... I'm more worried about the fact that you can't imagine that we can care about others, and that we can ask questions even if the described situation doesn't apply to us. Also @guest123 can have more than one personal reason to delay his/her admission and only mention the ''valid'' one to the university... I don't see where the issue is, really.
