  1. I didn't think it was that weird only because it is being done on a rolling basis and a couple of days after I got the e-mail, the class is full email was sent out. But I think everything should be okay We would of heard back *hopefully* by now if something was wrong!
  2. She said this a few days ago? I emailed her the same thing mid-late June and she responded saying that they are finishing up reviewing transcripts and then they will send out our info to IT for registration which can take up 2-3 weeks on that end. After she sent that email, a few days later they sent out the class is full email. I assumed that when they did that, they must have been done reviewing our documents.. plus, 2 weeks after, they gave us the OK to find housing and sign a lease in Ottawa so I can't imagine that they are still going through transcripts still I felt a bit confident and more relaxed after getting the OK to sign a lease but I had no idea that they are still reviewing transcripts
  3. I also signed because it kept getting harder to find a place each week that went by!
  4. Anyone heard anything about registration /uozone? I was looking at old posts and it seems like registration didn't happen until last week of July.
  5. Hi guys! I'm looking for some advice if possible. I am a Mac user (android phone though) but my MacBook broke a few months ago so I've been using my partner's MacBook pro. At this point, I am looking at purchasing a laptop plus a tablet since I don't have a laptop anymore. Some background info: I will be using the laptop to edit videos, will be using lightroom for photography and indesign for other projects so I definitely need something that can handle these programs, which the macbook pro has been great at. My only deliemma is that since I need a tablet now as well for in class note-taking, I was thinking of these two options: Option 1: the new surface book 3 (32 Gb ram) - with this option, I can just grab the surface book 3 without buying a tablet since it is a detachable 2 in 1. It seems like it can handle the programs I will be using but I am still a bit worried that it might lag big time. I also have not used a windows computer in a really long time but I'm sure I can get use to it. - but I LOVE the idea of just having one computer that has everything: tablet + computer Option 2: iPad pro (or just iPad) + macbook pro - this option is more costly but I have the funds saved up for that price point. - I know that the macbook pro can handle the programs I will be using and I am more comfortable with using a Mac. I also don't have to worry about any complicated issues that might arise with the 2 in 1 design, especially if i am heavily editing videos, photographs, etc - the ipad is just a tablet and will only be using it for notes during and after class. Other than that, I won't use it much. Any insight or help would be appreciated! I am not that knowledgeable with computers and specs so please forgive me for my lack of knowledge if I said anything silly Thank you!
  6. No you're not too old. I'm 29 years old and I just got accepted Embrace it! It took me a long time as well. I start at age 25 where I went back to school to slowly get all my science prerequisites while working full-time. During that time, I had friends graduating medical school while I was taking a first year biology course that they took when they were 17-18 years old. I had some friends that started to apply at 25 yo (so I was still "behind" since I wasn't applying yet) but were unsuccessful, so they opted to go to Ireland instead but I unfortunately couldn't ever afford anything like that . I was waitlisted at Ottawa just a few weeks ago feeling so low because I started to see those same friends that went to Ireland graduate and come back to Canada. So I couldn't be more grateful that Ottawa took a chance on me by giving me an offer from the waitlist. I don't care if I am 40 years old entering medical school because I'm going to be doing something that I've always been so passionate about. Something I daydreamed about for soooooo long. You should be so proud But I understand how you're feeling. Just try to mute it and think about the fact that you worked so hard to get where you are today and you will thank yourself for the next 60 something years as a practicing doctor!
  7. I just got it!!!! It took exactly 7 days for me (5 business days total).
  8. Got an offer Tuesday and still nothing. Low key freaking out but I'm sure it's okay lol.

  13. Hi guys - when sending in your deposit, was it an e-transfer or paying via payee (like paying bills)? I can't find University of Ottawa as an account name
