Since US medical school admission takes grade inflation into account, is it right to say Western Med Sci (for which 80% = 4.0 on the American GPA scale) would be a better option than Mac Health Sci if you plan to go to a US medical school?
I had a question regarding prerequisite courses for US med schools; what courses or what advice on courses can anyone give in particular to what courses are generally a necessity for applying to med school, because the thing is i do not want to take physics and especially english. Can I get into a US med school without taking english? What should I HAVE to take? Your response would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
Hey all, So I'm applying for US med schools this round and I just realised how important clinical experience is for med school applicants in the states. I have absolutely none - not even volunteering at a hospital. In my hometown, I've worked with the elderly at a long term care home and underprivileged youth, but never in a clinical setting. I have a 3.88 GPA GPA (OMSAS conversion) and 33 MCAT, plenty of research experience and extracurriculars. :S Just wondering how are my chances in the US looking atm and what I can do to compensate for my lack of clinical experience? Thanks in advance!
