  2. Hey, I'm wondering how good I need to be to have a good cote R in Brebeuf BI Health Sciences to get into McGill Premed after. I am currently in sec 5, in an average high school (~20s in provincial rankings), working very hard and having an average of ~90. I am better than the average in maths (having decent grades in high school maths and physics), but I don't know how I will perform in more difficult courses such as biology or biochemistry. I am however prepared to work hard in CEGEP, dying a hundred times if it's required, but I simply don't know if I have the intellect or the magical ingredient that the successful people have to get good grades. Also, I speak English with a lot of difficulty, and I know there are 4 courses of BI in English. My French is decent A plus: there is no gym (we can apparently do 100 hours outside of school), and my gym also sucks... Another plus: 0,5 added to the cote R, although I'm not quite sure of that anymore, since apparently McGill doesn't recognize the 0,5 (?) and it's way too much work versus the small addition. Which takes off time volunteering and doing community services. Based on my situation, can you guys give some advice on whether I should attend Brebeuf BI Health Sciences or not? And is McGill recognizing the 0,5 or not? This question really bothered me for a long time. Finally, with an awful English in oral, which course in English should I take? (100, 101, 102, 103??) *** Also, since we're on the topic of cote R, is it true that people in easier schools have higher cote R? Like for example, if you went to a harder and more competitive school (i.e. Mari or Breb), do you personally know someone from high school equal or worst than you in term of academic performance who went to a less competitive school (ex: Gerald Godin, Vanier) and got a better cote R? Or you were transfered from Breb to another school and got a better cote R? Did people have these experiences? *** Thank you very much
