Hey, I applied to med schools last year via OMSAS and I'm applying again this year, do I need to make a new OMSAS account? I see a reminder on their page that if I made one after August 2016, I don't need a new one, but I've also tried using my IT# log in from last year and it doesnt seem to be working. Thanks!
TorontoMed2021 posted a topic in For Sale/Trade ClassifiedsSELLING: Brand new, complete set of MCAT prep books by the Berkeley Review, updated for the new MCAT exam Includes: - Biology part 1 & 2 - General chemistry part 1 & 2 - Organic chemistry part 1 & 2 - Physics part 1 & 2 - Psychology - CARS The Berkeley Review is a leading company in MCAT review and only has products for the MCAT exam. Each book has sections detailing a comprehensive review, as well as free-standing and passage questions. Additionally, each book has two full diagnostic tests including 10 passages, free-standing questions and detailed solutions. I would like to emphasize that these books are brand new and unopened! There is no writing, highlighting or anything of that sort. I would strongly prefer to sell them as a set, but will negotiate with anyone interested. **Price is negotiable! If you are interested, please don't hesitate to message me!
Hello, I would like to have your opinion on the differences between the content and presentation/passage type between the prep books for the old MCAT and those for the new MCAT. More specifically, I just ordered a used 8th version (the last one for the old MCAT, I think) of physics Examkrackers for 5x cheaper than the new. Considering that I have a background in engineering, I just wanted a very quick refresh of the important concepts, and I figured that the version didn't matter much. I ordered the new Berkeley Review for biology, chemistry and biochemistry along with the new Princeton for sociology and psychology because this is where I'm lacking the most. Does it seem like a reasonable choice?
Hi everyone! I wrote my MCAT this summer and did fairly well in all sections (129/130/131), except for CARS (126). The CARS score makes me ineligible for most schools out of Ontario, as well as possibly Western and Queen's, based on their cutoff scores from the old MCAT (though I guess the 10/10/10 cutoff for Queen's is really just rumoured). Does anyone have any feedback on whether the lower CARS score will be detrimental to my application in the upcoming cycle? Any help would be great! Thanks.
