FutureDMD-QC
Does dental education in Canada have a good reputation worldwide?
Ostracized
Does it matter? You get a dental degree in Canada to practice dentistry in Canada. Unless you’re an academic, you aren’t likely to be doing any international collaboration.

I might have to move to France or the USA for family reasons so I'd like to know if you can practice dental medicine with a Canadian degree. You can practise in France by virtue of the France-Quebec arrangement (http://www.odq.qc.ca/Étudesetdemandesdepermis/HorsQuébec/EntenteFranceQuébec/tabid/384/language/fr-CA/Default.aspx). For the United States, I am sure your Canadian DMD/DDS would also be recognized (https://www.ada.org/en/education-careers/licensure/state-dental-licensure-for-us-dentists). Graduates of accredited U.S. and Canadian dental education programs are eligible for licensure in the United States.

School reputation is surprisingly unimportant in being employed as a dentist. Just look at how many dentists trained in developing countries are working in Canada. I went to stanford and umichigan for undergrad and from the people I've met, most people don't know about Canadian dental schools. But from what I hear, Canadian DDS/DMD is recognized in the US.
