Question about GPA calculation / Masters degree

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

I just finished my first year of physiotherapy (masters of science). I have one more year to go but will be applying to U of C this cycle. Will my 1st year masters GPA be taken into consideration this year? Or not until I am officially done the 2 year program at the end of next summer?

I didn't think my masters GPA would be considered given that I am only halfway done, but a friend of mine said otherwise.. so now im confused.

Thank-you

Your friend is right masters gpa are not included in the gpa calculations. Admission committee will look at how well you performed at the graduate level but if your undergraduate gpa is level you can be rejected.

From the application manual:

"In order for the Admissions Committee to consider graduate school marks in the overall GPA, the degree in question must be completed and conferred by June 30th, 2019. If the degree is still in progress, but in its final year, the grades will be used in the calculated GPA as described above."
