My chances for Queen's?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!!

I am a student from uOttawa and I would just like to know my chances for the Queen's medical school. I have made a post similar to this one but today I'll go go into more details of my application and would really appreciate your input on it.

Here are my stats:

Year: Graduated June 2018 with a B.Sc. in biomedical science.

wGPA: 3.865 (In province)

EC's: Long term volunteering at a hospital since 2015 (~400 hours), research lab volunteer, shadowing a emergency physician in the ER, part-time job, private math tutor in high school, general chemistry teacher assistant volunteer during the summer for the past 3 years for high school students, organic chemistry teacher assistant during uOttawa open house week, awards/dean's list and scholarships, awarded the APUO scholarship, volunteer of the month in the emergency department (sep 2018),  competitive dancing for the past 7 years+instructor.

Please be honest with me,

Thank you all :)

No one knows what Queen's cutoffs are exactly, but if you look at the accepted thread they all have around 510 or higher.

Your chances are effectively 0% if you don't apply so score well on your test and give the application a go :)

No, literally 0%. Apply.

I had a worse GPA, but a good MCAT and ECs and got in (despite feeling like I bombed the interview). You've got a good shot. Aim for a 129+ in CARS to be safe, and you should get an interview!
