Rural applicatant postal codes

Recommended Posts

Hi, I was just wondering how one would go about finding what postal codes are considered rural to qualify for one of the rural applicatant spots? Or do you need to check the box if you think you qualify and then admissions decided if you qualify later on?

Perhaps they take the rural postal codes off this list? http://tools.canlearn.ca/cslgs-scpse/cln-cln/lfnd-erpm/1-eng.do It's qualifying rural postal codes for Canada student loan forgiveness for family doctors/residents who go rural.

living 3+ years between 12-18 in a community meeting rurality based on postal code.

That sounds like a very strange requirement... I live in a remote, rural community, have been living here for more than 5 years, but I'm in my 30s. I work at AHS and the whole community here, including physicians, many patients and their families, nurses, indigenous leaders and county council want me to become a physician for them. I thought I would qualify, but that strange requirement of 12 to 18 years... Discouraging...
