Applying as a pharmacy student

Hello friends, I'm a current pharmacy student thinking of switching over and applying to medicine in the winter later this year. How would transitioning into medicine in midst of another professional program look to the admission committee? Would it cast a negative shadow as it may potentially forecast me droping out of medicine to switch into yet another different program some time down the road? Please comment below if you've heard/experienced what I'm going through!

Many people switch from different programs and careers when applying to medicine. As long as you have a good rationale for why you are switching then it’s fine in my opinion.

I personally had a degree in commerce and several random careers (6 years of full time work) before switching to medicine.

I've never thought of the forecast you mentioned lol. It's fine, I know people that have made this switch and it's understandable. Plenty of people in other health related fields have also moved on to pursue medicine. To me I'd be less curious about their reasons than those of someone like @Butterfly_ (which was a great read)

I was enrolled in a PharmD program, I completed a term and a half and switched into Medicine. It is possible, don't give up! I interviewed at 2 schools, be prepare to justify your reasoning.
