Pharmacy to medicine

Recommended Posts

Hello friends, I'm a current pharmacy student thinking of switching over and applying to medicine in the winter later this year. How would transitioning into medicine in midst of another professional program look to the admission committee? Would it cast a negative shadow as it may potentially forecast me droping out of medicine to switch into yet another different program some time down the road? Please comment below if you've heard/experienced what I'm going through!

I transferred from pharmacy to medicine. No trouble at all - they don't look down at you at all! Just work hard to keep your grades up. The admissions committee are actually happy to see that you're coming from a different healthcare discipline and are interested in learning more about your journey to medicine. It sets you apart and gives you a lot to talk about :)  Good luck!
