Most likely interviews will be on March 25th considering Programs have to send their rank order by March 26th I believe.

So does that mean they have sent out the invites but not confirmed the interview dates? ( Just curious)

What is the most important paper in a candidate file that the committee focuses on when reviewing his/her file ( PL, CV....??

Nothing. Most programs have a EE/NAC cutoff and automatically filter you out if you are below one of those cut-offs. It is unfortunate but I guess the only way to manage through so many applications they receive.

In talking with a lot of residents, many believe that this is one of the worst ways to select residents (i.e., using board scores).  Though it makes sense why it is used,  I've heard many say that they'd rather have a down-to-earth colleague (who can learn just as well on the course of residency) than have an egotistical, non-humble physician with a high board score and work beside this individual (not to say that all those who score high are)....but it's a tricky situation.  I can't imagine anyone getting past this unless you have some sort of social "in" with the faculty, program directors, etc.

Couldn't agree more.

Any news from patho programs guys ?

A lot of them had an IMG lined up for second round for the spots not set aside for CMGs. Some like Alberta med micro and pathology didn't rank (virtually) anyone according to a friend who's a resident there so I'm unsure how this will play into second round.
