I think this is from the med blog, Dr. Walker said a greater percentage of people got an interview because there were more (interview spots) I don't think they mentioned anything about increasing the number of actual spots on the class of 2022. They would still be around 155 I believe.

They get to look at even more candidates and find the best doctors among them. Their job is to find/train good doctors, not keep acceptance-probability-if-interviewed the same.
