Premed101 Average 2Y GPA and MCAT for accepted Non-SWOMEN (data inside)

Hello,

in my eternal boredom at work, I took the liberty of averaging the GPA and MCAT of all NON-SWOMEN applicants with a accepted or high waitlist result that posted on premed101 since 2016 with the new MCAT format.

averages:

2Y GPA: 3.905

MCAT: 388.8

 

For reference my stats:

2Y GPA: 3.97

MCAT: 385

MCAT 1 standard deviation: 2.34

MCAT variance: 5.48

amazingly the pm101 averages are really close to the average stats given by Schulich. but i have a feeling especially for GPA averages are going to be different now especially with ABS factor

Now if only we knew how much the MCAT counts or if it even matters at all post-interview. On one hand i cant wait until May 14. At the same time, if May 14 never comes, then I can never be rejected lol

for the record - MCAT and GPA were cutoffs only pre-interview. I doubt they will be weighed competitively post-interview, but that's speculation.

I think it's very likely they will be counted post interview, though ofcourse no one knows.

The MCAT is standardized test so it makes sense that they might choose to score it competitively. GPA is not standardized, scoring it competitively is hard to justify.
