xiphoid
A high 3.8/low 3.9 will not ruin your chances for Queen's. Try not to think about it, and just focus on your final exams and fourth year.

And besides, a 70-something is better than a late withdrawal, since I'm pretty sure the latter is interpreted as a 'fail'. -

You can't get accommodations if you show up and write.

At least at my school dropping a course after the deadline shows up as an F on the transcript Not for OMSAS. It just shows up as a withdrawal. What your school does for GPA =/= what med schools do. I would highly recommend you speak to a program advisor and petition to have the course/grade removed from your transcript on the grounds of the circumstances when you wrote the midterm assuming it is too late to drop it. The chances aren't great but it's worth a shot.
