CMPA reimbursement in Ontario

Can anyone who has gone through this process explain how it works for people starting July 1st? Everything I am finding is showing January 1st and June 30th deadlines.

Can't remember the specifics but it looks like I applied for reimbursement in the September of my R1 year and still got the full reimbursement amount. They're really helpful over email (MLPReimbursement@ontario.ca) and clearly amenable to late applications in the worst case scenario
