short_stack
wGPA: 3.83 MCAT: rewriting soon, previous MCAT was 128/127/129/130 ECs: pretty generic, lots of hospital volunteering, some leadership at hospital, on-campus emergency response team member in undergrad + leadership role, part time work history >6 yrs (2 yrs medical receptionist, 2 yrs pharmacy assistant), >300 hrs of pharmacy student placements with direct patient care, research assistant for a few years in undergrad, 1 publication (2nd author) and 1 poster presentation, started a pharmacy student job in late Aug so it'll be more direct patient care/counselling, starting a leadership position with the aforementioned emergency response team in Sept. Only "unique" hobby I was going to include in ABS was 2 yrs interest/practice in scrapbooking/calligraphy References: current pharmacist colleague, former MD boss from medical clinic, prof I published with I've been struggling to improve my GPA for years and even though it seems ok now, it's not good enough by any means. I'm going into third year of pharmacy now and even if I get straight 4.0 the maximum it'll improve my wGPA to is 3.87. I'm applying this year but I feel really dejected about it. Godsavethequeen
I am just applying for my first time as well, so I won't comment on your changes, but how come you're rewriting your mcat? Your scores look really good in my opinion, because I think you met the uoft cutoffs and could meet western non-southwestern cutoffs, but I could be wrong. I literally had to rewrite for my CARS score here's hoping i bumped it up! also, McMaster becomes a little more viable with a stellar CARS score because my GPA is not even remotely competitive lol
