I'm honestly not sure if Doctors are more respected than nurses, on the whole. Opinion surveys have shown nurses to have more respect in the past. If we're playing this game why not Doctor vs. University professor? Doctor vs. Veterinarian? Doctor vs. Defense Lawyer? Doctor vs. Firefighter? It's a pointless comparison.
