ijustwantanmd
So what happens if I am say 1 year into my 2 yr thesis based masters, but I get a med school offer, what do I do then? Is quitting midway a thing?
biochem4
when you enter a master’s program regardless of its nature, you have to finish it before you get officially admitted. Simply, your acceptance is conditional upon completion of your master’s program. ijustwantanmd

Is quitting midway a thing? From what I understood, some universities don't mind if you quit midway, while others want you to finish your current degree. I know that, in some places in Quebec, you could enter a MD-MSc program to fishish it during your MD. Or you can finish it during summers, if you already did 4 sessions (summer - fall - winter - summer, you should almost be done by then). Maybe at this point there will only be your thesis left to write, and therefore it might be possible to do it part time. Or you could just quit, if that's what you want. I don't know if it's possible elsewhere though. & in that case, I think you should be honest about that with your supervisors, from the begining.
