Will be declining for Western because of the terrible job McMaster has done with admissions this year and I don't want specialty/residency schools to look down upon me as being part of the "lottery" class in the future.

Good luck everyone else!

No schools or residencies will look down on anyone in that way.....and they probably won’t even remember years from now when you do your CARMS apps.

I don't think that will be the case considering this year's "lottery" class will be the only one in all of Ontario and the only one during the most unprecedented pandemic in recent history will be that forgetful..... Also don't want to deal with the amount of imposer syndrome which that offer comes with

A doctor is still a doctor. I doubt it would hold someone back during the carms process. At that point, it would be more of a compatibility issue/not being able to secure enough elevtives/ec's than a "we don't like lottery people". It makes zero sense logically. Carms does not work like that. This is just a doubt in some peoples minds, its not realistic in my opinion with all due respect.

I just figure why even bother with that at all since I have another offer, but I understand not everyone has that option. Many carms places I saw have less than 3 spots, so why would anyone willingly put a label on their forehead saying "potential lottery" that could affect their limited chances if they don't have to

Woah, cool coincidence! If you click "Offer," under "Program Code" it should give you a three letter code that represents the campus. Do you know which of the four you most want to go to? Congrats!!

I got Hamilton!! I'm gunna pm you, need somebody to help with my decision aha
