Snowmen
Hello folks! My MCCQE1 is supposed to be a week from now but I don't know whether I should take it or change it. I had a school exam on the 1st May that is modeled after the MCCQE1 where I did well after a month of studying (got an A-) but I just haven't had any motivation to study since then so I barely did anything. I'm also moving during the same week which isn't helping at all. I did some practice exams from the MCC as well as a complete practice exam and I usually end up around 70% for the multiple choice questions and 75-80% for the clinical decision making questions. I'm guessing that it's more than enough for a pass but it's hard to say since we don't know what the passing score is in terms of percentage or how representative those exams are compared to the real deal. Should I take it in a week as planned and risk losing 1300$ or move it to a later date and prepare better?
indefatigable
It seems like you did well enough on the practices. Yeah the scoring system is complicated, but it’s got a very high pass rate for CMGs.
Pterygoid
Don't CMGs just have to pass? The pass rate is 95% for first time CMG test takers. If you're scoring well on the practice, then I don't see why you'd want to postpone.

RadHopeful
If 95% of CMGs usually pass and you performed above average on your school exam, you should be OK!
