Technicians giving immunizations?

Hello,

I've been hearing a lot about technicians potentially gaining the ability to give immunizations. I am currently working in a retail store in NYC. I don't believe technicians are allowed to administer vaccines in our state that I know of. Just wondering, if I allow my technician (nursing student who is going to start clinicals in 2-3 weeks) to give me a vaccine (was thinking the flu shot), would I get in trouble? I know it is technically illegal, but wondering if I would be facing serious consequences or if it's no big deal. My partner is very by the book, follows policies to a tee/reports people etc., so just want to make sure before I do anything. Any advice greatly appreciated!
