Question about transcript deadlines

Apologies if this has been asked but i couldn't find the answer to it

Is the Oct 1st deadline when they need to have the transcripts in their hands or is it like other med schools where as long as the date posted is before the Oct 1st deadline they will accept it even if the transcripts end up in their office past Oct 1st?
