List of US Schools Accepting Canadians

Does anyone know do these schools also accept Canadian permanent residents? (Not citizen)

1. It depends on the schools, but some schools specifically state CAnadian citizens

2. Also, Wake Forest considers Canadians as Internatinal students, and hence they don't accept applications from Canadians

3. Georgetown only interviews Canadians, but they don't actually accept ppl

I've been curious about policies like these (G-town is not the only one). I suppose it's just a $ grab for the most part. 19 int'l interviewed last year and 0 matriculated .

It could mean that they were all rejected or some were accepted and chose not to attend.

I suppose so. Just the odds of that happening for a couple of years in a row (specifically at G-town) is weird.

Anybody know if UCONN still gives canadians a tuition break after/at the 2nd year? I am interviewing there in a couple of weeks and would love to know how much this school could potentially chap my bum, if i'm lucky enough to get in.

Do you accept non-citizen applicants?

No. However, we do accept applications from US permanent residents.

The MCAT and a minimum of 100 college semester hours at an accredited American or Canadian university are required. Beginning with the 2012 entering class only U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S.will be consiered for admission.

Almost? Let us know which ones don't. Every single school requires Orgo + English in the US that accept int'l students. If someone knows better, help out please.

To my knowledge, ALL school require orgo. Dartmouth i think does not require english

I think as the cycle is coming to an end, it would be a good idea for us who applied last year to provide an updated list of schools, for next year's applicants' sake. I know that Albany and EVMS don't take Canadian's anymore. Maybe Law could make a new and updated list so it could be stickied?

I have a 33O and around a 3.99 for AMCAS, I didn't get into Ontario this year so I'm applying to the US this summer.

i'm applying to 20 or so, haven't fully picked them all yet ... i had dogeared about 35 in the MSAR but have cut out a bunch after doing more research

 

how did you not have any luck in the Canadian schools with a good MCAT like that and such a high GPA???? What was your MCAT breakdown?

know of any school that does NOT require letters from science professors?? don't have any connection with sci profs.

By Canadian, does it mean, studied in Canada?

I was born in Florida. Does that get me any benefit?

FYI - At MSU CHM, in my current class, we have at least 7 Canadians (out of 200) that are matriculating. Pretty good representation I'd say.
