Arztin
There is R3 in hospital medicine after 2 years of family medicine? I guess that it is competitive? I am interested in IM and family medicine, and I really liked my ward experience in FM in rural region. I don't want to lose the aspect of hospital medicine in FM practice https://www.mcgill.ca/familymed/education/enhancedskillsprograms
justletmein
With Bill 20, there are rumors that the government will reduce FM positions (PEMs) available in hospitals, however it is still unclear if this will only affect new doctors, or rather all those in practice. You normally do need an R3 to work in academic hospitals. Good luck finding internists to cover the thousands of wards currently staffed by family docs .... booradley83
What are the average incomes/hours worked in the GTA area specifically? Are most FM docs practicing office only? Hospital work? Nursing homes?
