magiman
Hey! I don't know if anyone has done this.. but has anyone put a family member as a verifier for an activity?
LostLamb
I have, but as a last resort (other verifiers passed away, absolutely no other person able to vouch for activity).
thereisnotry
Only for activities where I either can't find another more appropriate verifier because too much time has elapsed since I did the activity or if the activity isn't super specialized. For example, I have biked to school/work for the past five years, and thought this an interesting aspect of myself (environmental consciousness etc.), but also not likely to raise adcom's eyebrows if a family member vouches for it. w8kg6
I used my dad as one for a job I had, but it's because I worked at the pulp mill, and he's VP of Human Resources... so maybe that's different. I included a 'full disclosure' section on my app.
AndreaM
If it's for something that you have done that has no other possibility then yes I think it is ok to use family. For example, extended solo travelling or something of that nature.
The Law
I used my dad to verify that I worked at our family business when I applied.
supafield
I wanted to show on my abs that I had traveled abroad since I lacked international volunteering... and given that they were mostly family vacations, Mom had to step up to the plate to verify them lol.
