decentcigars
So you're saying a high GPA gives you a good chance for an interview? Groundbreaking stuff
ralk
Unfortunately predictive analysis of stats for Ottawa is problematic due to their large number of streams, a large subjective element to getting an interview in terms of ECs, and no clear indication how those considerations stack up against each other. This analysis shows a correlation, but no causality or predictability, even if the source material was 100% reliable (which, as pointed out, it's not). In other words, it's interesting, but not necessarily useful. Many people get interviews with wGPAs below 3.94. People do not get interviews despite wGPAs above 3.94. If you've got a wGPA above the cutoffs for your stream and you have ECs that would be considered reasonably competitive, send an application to Ottawa. Don't despair if you've got a wGPA below 3.94, because you've still got a decent chance. Don't celebrate if you've got a wGPA above 3.94, because there's still a decent chance you might not get an interview. Best thing to do is focus on presenting your ECs well - the rest is beyond your control.

Helga_Hufflepuff
I also got an interview last year with a wgpa of 3.89 at uOttawa, and at NOSM, with a cgpa of 3.65. I do think the sketch is a determining factor for an interview invite once the GPA is considered competitive.
