chromeboker
Hi gang, Just wondering when a referee gets an email from CaRMS to provide a reference letter what is the format of the letter? For example, is it just a blank page to write as they wish or are they given prompts (ex. Teamwork, technical skill, communication, etc). Thanks. Good luck to all this year. HumorousHumerus
No prompts. Blank page, much like you got for your motivation letters.
The Bunny
Some programs provide a form where they ask the referee to rate the candidate on certain qualities and then to elaborate on those on a separate letter. However this is not the norm.
Lactic Folly
CaRMS does provide some general guidance to referees on content of letters: http://www.carms.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/2015-instruction-sheet-for-early-references-EN.pdf
feversugar
They suggest points to talk about but the referee isn't obliged to touch on any in particular.
