I don't think a low GPA should stop you from trying to reach your goal, if you do really well on the MCAT and have great EC's then I think you should apply if medicine is your passion. You could spend another year at university to upgrade your marks...

I had a CVPN among the top 20% and a 3.5 cGPA, but I didn't get interviewed. You will need to raise your GPA for sure!

IP applicants with lower cGPAs (with a well written CVPN) have gotten an interview, so I would definitely apply! Like Bambi says, it's automatic no if you don't try. How's your science prereq GPA?

If you look the invite/regret thread you can see that even with good extracurricular, people below 3,7 don't really land interview spot. Don't forget that everyone who apply to mcgill have nice EC's. If I was you I wouldn't apply this time and try a second UG because you will likely just waste your money.

 

(Unless you'r an astronaut or something extraordinary like that)
