Radiologist in Training
So I have a 4 week elective this coming summer 2017 as a radiology resident. At that time, I will be at the beginning of my R3 year (so only 1 year of radiology experience). My thoughts are this is a bit early to go around to potential schools looking for fellowships (but you can tell me I'm wrong). With that in mind, what do you think will make for an interesting 4 week elective in radiology? I am quite open to electives that are unique like medical missions, or going to far away countries (Australia) both as a learning experience and for fun, or aiming for electives that are extremely prestigious and good as a learning experience. I'm all ears. Anyone have any suggestions for popular fun/educational/exotic or career advancing choices?
W0lfgang
Probably the best use of your time if you have a shortlist of fellowship options is to do an elective where you'd like to do fellowship at. Otherwise, perhaps do an elective to beef up on a rotation that's particularly weak at your home program.
