question from mcgill personal narrative: Which character trait, skill, or lived experience makes you best-suited for a career in medicine?

I'm not sure if the admissions committee want us to talk about ONE trait/skill/lived experience and expand on it, or mention a couple and discuss those.

Since the question is phrased in singular form, I'm really confused :(

The question is clearly in the singular. Therefore, it is for you to self-reflect and come up with the character trait, skill or lived experience that makes you best-suited for a career in medicine. That one item is the spring board to your answer where you will no doubt compare what you have developed or learned to that which is valuable in medicine.

Again, the reader will have insight into whom you are from your answer.

I think the most important thing is to make it personal. I tried to go with something different, what sets me appart from others. I chose a character trait that included many others that I could discuss. I don't there are any formulas for success here, just make it your own, hope it helps.

If we put a character trait, do we have to explain how we acquired it? Also, do you think I could put two character traits or it really is only one?

Volunteering with the elderly, I developed patience, empathy, compassion and the ability to interpret non-verbal expressions..................
